Hastings Fishermens Museum Exhibition 2017

Today’s Fishermen of the Stade. A photographic exhibition by East Sussex photographer, Ann Chown. Ann is an environmental portraiture photographer and has been taking pictures for the past three years of the men who work on the Stade. These photos make up a large body of work of the fishermen who go to sea in their beach-launched boats, the men who sell the fish and those who work as mechanics and winch operators, known locally as Boys Ashore. Ann is delighted to have been offered the opportunity to exhibit her photographs at the Fishermens Museum and is keen for them to be kept as an historical record. Today’s Fishermen comprises around 30 of Ann’s favourite pictures. Entrance free, donation to Fishermen’s Museum welcome. Wheelchair accessible.
