Crazy Bike Race!2023

5.30pm to dusk The Jimmy Read Memorial Bike Race First held in 1988, the event takes place on the Old Town’s steepest road and sees entrants attempting to cycle up the road as quickly as possible without losing contact with the saddle… We provide the butchers bike – and you provide the muscle! Just come along, make a donation and have a go. It’s not easy but you will have great fun trying and will be supporting local good causes by doing so - please give generously to the ‘bucket rattlers’ throughout the evening. It is not advisable to bring dogs to this event, young children are very welcome under the supervision of adults
