Grand Carnival Day Events

Times are approximate and there will be breaks in the shows. Outside Hastings and St Leonards Angling Club (Marine Parade) 1pm – 4pm The Happy Endings Band Winkle Island from 2pm – 4pm Hotshots Dance Le Rock Modern Jive, Winkle Island from 4pm – 5pm The Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers The Stade Open Space 2pm – 4pm Blue Reef Aquarium information stand with ‘Charlie’l The Stade Open Space 2pm - 3.45pm Hastings Carnival Court and visiting Carnival Courts judging and courtesy to VIPs The Stade Open Space 2.30pm – 3.45pm Majorettes performing and judging. The Stade Open Space 3.45pm – 4.15pm Performance by South East Stars Cheerleaders. 5 pm Grand Carnival Procession. For Route information see printed programme or visit www.1066.net/carnival. Grand Carnival Procession, From Rock-a-Nore Car Park The parade assembly is in Rock-a Nore Road from 4.30pm. Carnival Entry Forms are available from: Cobblers to the Old Town, High Street, Penbuckles, 50 High Street, and Hastings History House or can be downloaded from the website www.1066.net/carnival or www.1066.net/carnival Entry forms must be returned by Friday 1st August by post to: Mrs Di Veness, 68 Canute Road, Hastings, TN35 5HT or by email to dianne.veness@yahoo.co.uk or delivered by hand to Cobblers to the Old Town or Penbuckles, 50 High Street. 1.30pm: assembly at Rock-a-Nore Car Park 2.45pm: deadline for registration 3pm: judging starts [arrivals after 3pm must register but will not be judged and could join the procession] 5pm Parade starts at Rock-Nore Road Dusk Fireworks from the Castle
